A MALE Voice Choir is urging Worcester Warriors to ‘Seize the Day’, as the team returns to rugby action at Sixways.
A video posted on the Worcester Male Voice Choir website and circulating widely on social media, shows an enthusiastic group of choir members performing a new chant in support of the resurrected Warriors.
Ian Hilton-Turvey, who came up with the chant, said: “The choir is practicing hard for a series of concerts and performances between now and Christmas. However, we decided to have a bit of fun and show our support for the Warriors, in the only way we know how.
“We wanted to urge the team on with a chant that’s easy to pick up and sing. We sing the words to the tune of a well-known sea shanty that’s part of the choir’s repertoire.”
Choir member Barry Ellis added: “There are quite a few Warriors fans in the choir, so we are all very enthusiastic about singing our new song and showing our support for the club. It’s great that so many people have shared the video on social media and we can’t wait to sing it at Sixways.”
