THE UNIVERSITY of Worcester Hangar bar has been recognised as a top student venue in the country.
It was recognised by Best Bar None (BBN) and the latest NUS Trade Awards.
The Hangar is run by the students union and has been awarded Gold status by BBN – which recognises and rewards responsible premises.
This is the seventh year it has been awarded the Gold accreditation by the BBN.
The Hangar has also been announced as a winner in three categories in the NUS Trade Awards: Impactful Collaboration, Student Feedback and Input, and Customer Safety.
The Student Input and Feedback Award recognised student-staff member Ella Page for her work in creating the venue’s cocktail menu and developing its social media presence.
Ruttuja Mane, president of Worcester Students’ Union, said: “We are incredibly proud of the remarkable achievement made by our staff in winning these awards.
“They’ve worked tirelessly to provide a safe and inclusive environment to all students.
“This recognition not only highlights their dedication but also their commitment to student welfare, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to provide an outstanding experience for our student community.”
