Worcester Editorial 22nd Dec, 2023   0

TWO Worcester drug-dealing brothers selling class A and B into the city have been jailed.

Usman Omar Multani, 29, and Kaasim Mohammed Multani, 25, both previously of Westminster Road, Worcester, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court.

The sentences follow an investigation by West Mercia Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU).

Usman Multani pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine between August 2016 and April 2018 and conspiracy to supply cannabis between September 2016 and February 2018.

The 29-year-old was jailed for eight years with a 20 per cent discount for an early guilty plea, reducing it to six years and four months.

Kaasim Multani, meanwhile, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine between May 2016 and February 2017 and conspiracy to supply cannabis between September 2016 and February 2018.

He was sentenced to four years with a 20 per cent discount for his early guilty plea, reducing it to three years and two months.

Usman Multani is currently serving nine and a half years, and Kaasim eight years, for GBH with intent.

The new terms will add 32 months and 22 months respectively to those prison terms.

The Multani brothers and others were involved in organised drug dealing in Worcester and the surrounding areas.

Det Ch Insp Gerard Smith from West Mercia Police’s SOCU said:

“This sentencing is a tribute to the officer in charge who worked tirelessly and relentlessly to pursue those responsible for a well-established, long-running, and lucrative drug dealing enterprise.

“Tackling serious and organised crime and county lines is a priority and we will continue to focus our efforts on disrupting the criminal behaviour of those who are causing harm in our communities.”
