A CHOIR is raising its voices in Worcester in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Worcester Male Voice Choir’s ‘The 2026 Mix-Tape Concert Live!’ is taking place in the John Moore Theatre at King’s School on Saturday, July 25 from 7pm.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the Alzheimer’s Society which is the choir’s Charity of the Year 2025/26.
Graham Heath, chairman of Worcester Male Voice Choir, said: “I am really looking forward to the event and to raising as much as we can for Alzheimer’s Society at this summer’s concert. Our hope is to bring joy to the community while raising awareness of dementia and supporting families affected by it.
“Many of our choir members have personal links to dementia, whether through parents, family members, or close friends, and choosing Alzheimer’s Society as our Charity of the Year was deeply important to us.”
Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime.
Luke Selibas, Alzheimer’s Society regional fundraiser, added: “We are so grateful that Worcester Male Voice Choir have chosen to support Alzheimer’s Society. Each hour people generously give to fundraise for us, every event they take part in, every pound they donate, they’re making a life-changing difference to people living with dementia.
“Alzheimer’s Society provides vital support to people living with dementia, funds groundbreaking research and campaigns to make dementia the priority it should be. It will take a society to beat dementia.
“There are around a million people living with dementia in the UK including approximately 13,000 in Worcestershire and Herefordshire. We all have a role to play in ending the devastation dementia causes. We simply can’t reach everyone who needs us without the continued support of our incredible fundraisers like Worcester Male Voice Choir.”
