THE HIVE’S careers Worcestershire hub is celebrating its first anniversary.
The careers, training and education service, known as Careers Worcs, was launched last summer and aims to help young people aged 15-24 years old who are not in education, employment or training (NEET).
It also provides supportive advice for all young adults looking for further education, apprenticeship, training, employability, and well-being support.
The Careers Worcs’ Hub has supported over 500 young people with career guidance and has seen more than 135 youngsters secure ongoing employment.
Coun Marc Bayliss, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for Economy, Infrastructure, and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The team here at Careers Worcs are helping to transform the lives of young people and together they’re making a real difference in shaping Worcestershire’s workforce of the future.”
