Woman left shaken up after attempted robbery in Ronkswood

A WOMAN has been left shaken up after a man tried to steal her handbag whilst walking along Liverpool Road.

The victim, who is in her 40s, was approached by the man at 9.30pm last Friday (November 4).

He then attempted to take the woman’s handbag and pushed her into a nearby hedge before running off towards Canterbury Road.

The woman wasn’t seriously injured and has been left shaken up following the incident.




The man is described as white, in his early 20s, clean shaven, and around 6ft tall. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up and a pair of grey jogging bottoms.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the man is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 0824S of November 4.
