A WOMAN has been arrested after police raided a house in Worcester this morning (Friday, July 19).
Officers swooped on the property in Carnforth Drive in Warndon, based on intelligence which suggested there were drugs at the property.
A search was carried out by officers who found a quantity of class B drugs (cannabis), along with mobile phones and cash, estimated over £5,000.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
Investigations into the find are continuing.
PC Benjamin Sly from Warndon Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said he was really pleased with the result of the warrant.
“We will never tolerate drugs supply in our community and we will continue to act on information around drugs supply and trafficking.”
And he urged anyone with information on drugs supply or other crime to get in touch.
“Any bit of information, no matter how small it may seem, could help make a big difference,” he added.
This investigation forms part of Operation Target – West Mercia Police’s work to tackle serious and organised crime.
