Will you spot the International Space Station above city tonight?

Worcester Editorial 28th Jul, 2017   0

KEEN-eyed Worcester people may spot something unusual in the skies over the coming days as the International Space Station becomes visible from the city.

No equipment is needed to see the Space Station – just a clear night and good pair of eyes at the right time.

The space station looks like an aeroplane or a very bright star moving across the sky, although it doesn’t have flashing lights or change direction. It will also be moving considerably faster than a typical plane, which generally fly at around 600 miles per hour, while the space station flies at 17,500 miles per hour)

The Space Station should be visible from Worcester at around 10.05pm and 11.41pm tonight (Friday) and at 10:49pm and 12.25am on Saturday.
