YOUNGSTERS celebrated a much-loved children’s book to raise money for charity.
More than 30 youngsters and their families took part in The Giant Wiggle last Thursday (March 19) at Worcester Wood County Park, inspired by the UK best-seller The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Early Help Children Centres in the city centre teamed up with The World of Eric Carle to hold the very wiggly conga line to raise £120 for Action for Children.
The event aimed to encourage children to help others and feed their imaginations through storytelling and creative activities.
Kerry West, the event organiser, said: “The day went very well with all the families greatly enjoying themselves. We had story time with the caterpillar and the children had great fun catching fruit for him in the wooded area. We had more than 30 children turning up with their families and we were thrilled to be part of a great national family day out.”
