A MIDLANDS chippy has cooked up a storm on social media and gone viral – but where exactly is Binley Mega Chippy?
Well it’s in Coventry and thanks to becoming a sensation on social app TikTok people have travelled from across the country and even overseas to visit.
What’s even more staggering is the takeaway, which has been there for more than 10 years, hasn’t promoted itself on social media but the cash tills have been ringing thanks to fan made content.
They offer a £4.99 Morbius Meal, which comprises fish and chips, mushy peas and a drink.
The chippy featured on TikTok food review account craigs.kebab.house, who placed them at the top spot in a slideshow of the UK’s best takeaways.
But one of the main drivers of the trend is thought to be this fan-made jingle video about the shop that went viral.

The song is the work of TikTok user binleymegachippyfan53 who is enormous fan of this local favourite and his ten second ‘song of praise’ has been viewed more than 760,000 times so far.
Other videos made by fans about the establishment have racked up millions of views on the platform – in fact if you are a regular on TikTok, you’ll have been lucky to escape the Binley Mega Chippy tune.
