When to put your bins out this Christmas

Worcester Editorial 23rd Dec, 2019   0

SOME bins will be collected later than usual this Christmas with revised collection dates over Christmas and the New Year.

Collections will be held as normal on Christmas Eve while those who have their bins collected on a Wednesday are asked to put them out on Saturday (December 28).

There will be no collections on Boxing Day with homeowners who usually have a Thursday collection asked to put their bins out on Monday (December 30).

Collections will take place as normal on Friday (December 27) and on New Year’s Eve while the New Year’s Day collection will take place next Saturday (January 4).

Normal collections will take place on January 2 and 3 and the regular schedule will resume on January 6.

Large cardboard boxes, Christmas cards (except glitter ones) and wrapping paper (excluding foil or glittery paper) can be recycled while tin foil and tinsel need to go into the black bin.

There will be no bulky household collections on Christmas Day or in the week beginning December 30.
