When to put your bins out in Worcester over Christmas

Worcester Editorial 23rd Dec, 2021   0

DOMESTIC bin collections in Worcester will run as normal over Christmas.

There will be no changes to collection days, thanks to City Council staff working on the Bank Holiday on Tuesday (December 28)

Bins will also be collected on the normal days in the following week, commencing 3 January.

Don’t forget to make sure bins are placed out by 7am on your day of collection.

Large cardboard boxes, Christmas cards (except glitter ones) and wrapping paper (excluding foil or glittery paper) can be put in a green bin. Tin foil and tinsel need to go in the black bin.

There will be no bulky household collections in the week of December 27 with the normal service resuming on January 4.

Visit www.worcester.gov.uk/bulky-household-waste to book a collection.

Commercial waste collection services which are normally collected on a Monday will be altered for one week.

Waste will be collected on December 28 not December 27 while recycling collections will take place on 48 hours later than normal on Wednesday, December 29.
