Weapons and drugs seized from a house in Worcester

WEAPONS and drugs were seized from a house in Worcester.

Officers from West Mercia Police carried out a search of Wasdale Court in Warndon on Thursday September 5 and found a quantity of class B drugs with an estimated value of over £2,400.

A mobile phone, cultivation equipment and around £1,000 in cash were also seized by officers, as well as other paraphernalia relating to the supply of drugs.

And there were a substantial number of prohibited weapons, including a knuckle duster, two machetes, two bayonets, two kukri knives, a dagger, a cutlass, a medieval flail and a diving knife.




A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs and possession of prohibited weapons. He currently remains in custody as the investigation continues.

Police Constable Ben Sly said: “This morning a quantity of drugs, along with weapons and money were recovered from the address and a man arrested after a warrant was carried out in Warndon.


“This warrant shows we will not tolerate drugs and weapons within our community and will continue to act on information given to us.

“The Warndon community can help us by continuing to report any signs of criminal activity to us – the easiest way to do this is on our website. Any bit of information, no matter how small it may seem, could help make a big difference.”
