Vandals target St John's Christmas tree lights for second time in two weeks

Worcester Editorial 11th Dec, 2017   0

FESTIVE lights at one of Worcester’s busiest roundabouts are shining once again after city council chiefs acted quickly to repair damage caused by vandals for a second time in two weeks.

The lights on the 36ft tree at the St John’s roundabout were vandalised last Wednesday night, with the damage being discovered Thursday morning.

Contractor Blachere Illumination, who were first called out to replace the lights just two days after being switched on, repaired the damage on Friday evening.

The vandalism of the lights has been reported to West Mercia Police.
