A NEW educational partnership has been formed between the University of Worcester and Worcester Snoezelen.
The partnership between the university and the Turnpike Close charity – which offers a sensory environment for people with learning difficulties – includes a new 20 year lease and a new educational agreement.
The agreement will ensure opportunities will benefit both parties and a number of students are already enjoying voluntary work placements with the charity.
Ann Jordan, head of the university’s Institute of Education and joint chair of the University-Snoezelen partnership group, said: “We’re delighted to have established this comprehensive, mutually beneficial agreement with the Worcester Snoezelen.
“The university is passionate in its promotion of inclusion and education, and this agreement will provide valuable opportunities for child and adult users of the Snoezelen’s inspirational programmes.”
