Two Worcester properties badly damaged by fire

Worcester Editorial 2nd Jul, 2025   0

A HOUSE FIRE damaged two neighbouring properties in Worcester, writes Tayla O’Hara.

The incident happened around 8.35pm on June 20 when a bin fire spread to two semi-detached buildings in Hever Avenue.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews attended as the fire spread onto the 10m by 10m properties.

Firefighters in breathing aparatus used water jets to battle the blaze.

Afterwards, positive pressure ventilation equipment was used to clear the smoke and a thermal imaging camera monitored for hot spots to ensure the fire did not reignite.

The National Grid were also called to deactivate the electrical supply and Cadent isolated the gas supply.

The water supply to the property was also turned off while the incident – which was dealt with by 10.41pm – was ongoing.
