TWO teenage boys have been arrested after a man was stabbed during a robbery down an alleyway in Worcester.
The robbery occurred at around 3.40pm on Wednesday September 24 in the alleyway which links Windermere Drive to the Sainsburys Car Park in Blackpole.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital by air ambulance after sustaining stab wounds. He remains in a stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. His bike and phone were stolen.
The two boys are currently in custody as enquiries continue.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and are looking to trace two more men who were seen running from the alleyway in the direction of Quenington Close and Randwick Drive. One of the men was on the silver bike.
Detective Chief Inspector James Bamber said: “We are continuing our enquiries, and our communities will continue to see an increased police presence.
“It is important to remember knife crime is still rare in Worcester, but we know incidents like this are still unsettling. We are working with the local community to provide reassurance.
“We are continuing to urge anyone with any information to please get in touch.”
