Two people arrested following violent disorder in Worcester

POLICE are investigating a violent disorder which took place at an address in Cranham Drive, Worcester in the early hours of Thursday morning (April 9).

Officers were called at around 1am, to reports that a man in his 30s had sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries, believed to be caused with a bladed object.

A woman aged 20 was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and a man aged 35 was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They are currently in custody as enquiries continue.

Detective Inspector Dave Knight said “Our communities can expect an increased police presence in the local area as we carry out our enquiries. We would like to reassure people that we do not believe there is any threat to the wider community, and at this stage we do not believe this is linked to any other incidents.




“We have arrested two people in connection with the incident but would urge anyone who has any information to assist with our investigation to please get in touch.”
