TripelB delight as Copenhagen Street closed to boost street trade

Worcester Editorial 22nd Jan, 2022   0

A POPULAR Worcester cafe has welcome the closure of Copenhagen Street to traffic for three months and hopes to ‘recapture the continental vibe’ in the heart of the city.

Staff at the TripelB Belgian Beer cafe revealed their delight after highways chiefs confirmed the city street would shut for the first quarter of the year to boost local businesses.

County Hall hopes the move will enable TripelB, the Oil Basin Brewery and Keystones to expand their offering out into the street, while keeping the road open for pedestrians and cyclists.

As it enables access to the High Street, highways bosses have not ruled out reopening it for emergency access if required.
