The incident occurred at the entrance of Top Barn on Worcester Road shortly before 5pm on Saturday (November 21).

West Mercia Police are appealling for any witnesses of the collision with a black Kia Ceed, travelling towards Worcester and a blue Vauxhall Vectra travelling in the opposite direction.

Yet to be confirmed by Police, heartbroken staff at Top Barn have identified the victim as Camelia-Ionuta Cutitaru from Romania, a fellow employee at the farm:

“It is with great sadness we confirm the tragic death of one of our staff, following a road traffic accident on the A443, at the entrance to Top Barn on Saturday evening.

“Camelia-Ionuta Cutitaru was 20-years-old and from Romania. Camelia had worked for Top Barn Produce Ltd since September 2015.

“She was a lovely person, very hard-working and popular with her colleagues. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time.”

An advanced community paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The woman pedestrian had suffered serious injuries and despite the best efforts of crews to resuscitate her, she was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.”

Officers investigating the collision are eager to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and urge witnesses to contact them by calling 101 and quoting incident number 500s of 21st November 2015.
