A TRIBUTE to one of the best political comedies to grace the small screen is on offer when members of the Swan Theatre Amateur Company (STAC) take to the stage for their version of Yes, Prime Minister.
Yes, Prime Minister is a funny and thought-provoking political satire based on the successful television series which captured the political consciousness of the nation.
Writers Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn then created a stage comedy in which the Prime Minister, Jim Hacker is faced with the problems of immigration, sex-trafficking, energy, Europe and sleaze, aided or hindered by his civil servants, Sir Humphrey Appleby and Bernard Woolley.
Director Paul Bellamy said: “It is always a privilege and a pleasure to work with STAC and this wonderful play has given us hours of fun in the rehearsal room.
Members will take to the stage at the Swan Theatre from February 26 to 29
