Thousands of jobs on offer at army recruitment event

Worcester Editorial 7th Nov, 2013 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

PEOPLE in Worcester considering joining the army are being urged to attend a recruitment event tomorrow (Friday).

More than 6,000 jobs will be on offer across 200 different roles in the Army Reserves at the Guildhall from 10am and 4pm.

As well as looking at the roles available, which range from mechanics to fitness instructors, people will also be able to speak to soldiers to get a real understanding of army life.

Brigadier Andrew Jackson, director of army recruiting and training, said: “Joining the Army Reserve is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to do something extra with their time and benefit from a rewarding experience outside of normal working hours.

“These events aim to showcase the broad range of jobs and world class training and development prospects available to anyone who is interested in joining or who thinks they know someone who would want to find out more.

“No matter what your skills or background, the Army Reserve has something to offer you. There is much more beyond military skill as it can take you abroad, equip you with new skills, give you invaluable experience and develop strengths you didn’t know you had.”
