A SERVICE of celebration has been held to appreciate the work of the city’s NHS staff.
The service – held at Worcester Cathedral on Sunday (September 20) – gave people the chance to join together as a community in appreciation of the NHS and recognise those who work tirelessly to deliver quality patient care.
The event was held to coincide with a week of celebrations from Monday (September 21) to Sunday (September 27), where Worcestershire Royal Hospital will host a Staff Appreciation Day, the Long Service Awards and the annual Staff Achievement Awards.
Harry Turner, NHS Trust Development Authority Chairman, said: “It’s been a tough year for NHS staff, but that’s why it’s more important than ever to engage with every opportunity to recognise the excellent work done to care for the people of this city.”
