TENNIS courts in Cripplegate and Gheluvelt Parks are set to re-open in line with current Government guidance.
The five new tennis courts in Cripplegate Park, which re-opened in September 2020 following a £377,000 investment from Worcester City Council and the Lawn Tennis Association will be among those to re-open on Monday (March 29).
A free taster day for people of age will be held next Saturday (April 3) and lessons will be held for adults and children during the Easter holidays.
Mayor of Worcester Coun Jo Hodges said: “It’s fantastic to see tennis served up once again in Worcester. A number of free coaching sessions for children and adults are on offer over the Easter period, helping to make the sport accessible to everyone.
“So whether you’ve never picked up a racket before or are a seasoned player, I encourage you to have some fun and make the most of Worcester’s new tennis facilities.”
