Talented Carden joins the Vamos ranks thanks to fund bid success

STAFF at Vamos Theatre have welcome a new intern to its Learning and Participation department after being successful in a bid to increase the company’s diversity.

The Mo Siewcharran fund helps to transform lives and inspire young Black, Asian and ethnically diverse careers in the creative industries.

With its help, Worcester-based Vamos Theatre has been able to offer a unique training opportunity for Carden Stapleton to be part of its team for six months.

Carden is a talented young artist who studied dance at De Montfort University and since graduating, has worked as a freelancer with many different roles including as a performer, workshop leader, workshop assistant, videographer, and video editor.

“It is an absolute privilege to learn more about the industry and continue to grow with such a generous theatre company whose outreach and work in the community are so inspiring,” he said.

Honor Hoskins, Vamos Theatre’s Creative Producer said: “His passion, drive and honesty have been evident from first meeting and we are very excited about where this journey could take us, and how we can support this exciting young artist.

“We would like to thank the Mo Siewcharran Fund and Creative Access, as without their support this opportunity would not have been possible.”
