Swan concert offers the sound of rock and roll

Worcester Editorial 17th Dec, 2020   0

AN EXCITING evening full of the sounds of the rock ‘n’ roll scene will fill the Swan Theatre in a festive concert from a city promoter.

Music impresario John Banner will welcome the extraordinary keyboard talents of Steve Wicketts and Peter Gill this Sunday (December 20) from 7.30pm to 9.30pm for a Covid-safe evening of music to remember.

For the first time ever, two of the top rock ‘n’ roll piano players in the world, will be appearing on stage together and have the limited audience movin’ and a shakin’ all night long.

Cheltenham-based Peter has performed in some of the most popular Rock ‘n Roll theatre shows in the UK, and on stage with many famous artists including Anita Harris.

A great admirer of the maestro Steve Wicketts, Peter revealed he can’t wait to perform on the very same stage.

Brummie Steve has performed in many theatre shows and his career, to date, is quite unique – it’s not only what he has done, but what he hasn’t done, that makes him so remarkable!

An invitation to join a Las Vegas agency and the opportunity to play the part of Jerry Lee Lewis in the Million Dollar Quartet show, when it came to London’s West End – were both turned down, because of his commitment to bringing up his young daughter.

Both Peter and Steve have done numerous shows in Worcester over the last few years but, this is the first time ever they have appeared together

The night promises to be a load of fun, great Rock ‘n’ Roll and you will not believe your eyes and ears – this is a show that will stay in your memory forever.

The night marks one of the first shows to be staged at the Swan to an audience and will be held following all current guidelines.
