A GROUP of Worcester business students dubbed the ‘Super Six’ have scooped £100 each following the successful pitch of their project plan to local business leaders.
University of Worcester students Adam Garf, Avril Bartholomew, Elisa Rainford, Gina Fernandez Salmon, Ruby Young and Sophie Moreton recently made the pitch to representatives from Qinetiq and the Association for Project Management (APM).
As part of the operations, project and risk management module on the university’s business management degree, students competed in teams to produce a plan to make a video helping prospective business students get an idea about the academic members of staff, who would teach them at the university.
Martin Chick, director of project management at Qinetiq presented the awards, which consisted of a £100 Amazon voucher for each member of the winning ‘Super Six’ team, plus membership to APM.
“The Super Six delivered on all the key aspects of any project plan and were professional and organised,” said Mr Chick.
“All of the students did a fantastic job though, and should be very proud,” he added.
Dr Abdulmaten Taroun, who led the module said: “We were very pleased with the project plans produced by the students and it was very rewarding to see them be able to professionally present their excellent work.”
