STAFF from Sanctuary Group have been showcasing their creative talents in support of an annual festive fund-raiser at Worcester Cathedral.
Each year the Worcester Christmas Tree Festival sees the cloisters at the cathedral filled with dozens of trees decorated by local businesses, schools, community groups and charities.
Sanctuary in Castle Street invited staff to create eye-catching wooden houses to decorate its tree, representing its mission to build affordable homes and sustainable communities where people choose to live.
Staff created more than 80 houses in total, with entries ranging from castles to eco-homes and many more besides.
All the houses are now proudly on display on Sanctuary’s tree at the Christmas Tree Festival, which runs at Worcester Cathedral until January 1.
Nicole Seymour, Sanctuary’s group director for Corporate Services, said: “The Christmas Tree Festival is an important fund-raising event for the cathedral and something thousands of families look forward to visiting each year.
“As a major local employer we wanted to show our support and we were delighted with the enthusiasm and creativity our staff and their families demonstrated in creating so many wonderful decorations.”
The Christmas Tree Festival is open daily between 7.30am and 6pm. Admission is free but donations to support the cathedral and its work are encouraged.
