A FUNDRAISING event is being held to help a brave Worcester youngster.
A ‘pop-up shop’ will be held from Monday, February 8, to Friday, February 12, in aid of three-year-old Georgie Gibbs, from St John’s.
Georgie has spastic diplegic cerebral palsy and needs extensive equipment, physio and life-changing surgery to assist her in taking her own safe and controlled, unaided steps.
The shop will be a chance for people to donate any unwanted items they have.
Georgie’s mum, Clare Gibbs, is hoping to raise approximately £60,000 to allow her daughter to undergo an operation in America to enable her to walk unaided.
Next month’s event is being held in collaboration with Jean Wilson, manager of New Hope, who works with families who have children with disabilities.
The pop-up shop will take place at New Hope on Wells Road from 10.30am to 2pm each day.
Call Clare on 07583 865461 for more information.
