Man dies following A443 crash

A 32-YEAR-OLD man has died following a head-on crash between a car and a lorry near Worcester.

Emergency services were called to the A443 near Lindridge at about 6.35am this morning (Thursday) following the crash between a pink Daewoo Matiz involved in the crash with a white Scania Lorry.

Police have named the victim as Michael John Healey, of Leominster, who was a passenger in the car.

He was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where he later died.




The driver of the car, a woman in her late teens, suffered from abdominal and pelvic injuries, as well as injuries to her face and was taken by ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

The male lorry driver was left uninjured and was discharged at scene.
