Sabrina Voices hits the right note for homeless charities

Rob George 25th Jan, 2020   0

LOCAL ladies choir Sabrina Voices has been out and about handing over cheques to local charities supporting the homeless.

The 50-strong choir raised funds at their sell-out Christmas concert in Stanbrook Abbey.

Musical director Tom Wells said: “The ladies went down a storm at their Christmas show and it was wonderful to raise funding for the vital work of Maggs Day Centre and Worcester Street Cafe.”

Following a visit to both ventures, he said: “It was humbling to see at first hand the care and support provided by volunteers for the growing number of rough sleepers.”

The choir is going from strength to strength and has quickly established a reputation for the high quality of its singing.

As the ladies reach their first anniversary of the formation, new members would be most welcome join the sisterhood.
