WORCESTER residents are invited to enjoy a night of ‘Wine and Cheesy Puns’ for charity.
The stand-up comedy gig, in aid of Headway Worcestershire, a charity for people living with head injuries, will take place at Bottles Wine Bar on Friar Street at 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 6.
The first event of its kind, people are urged to secure their spot as soon as possible so as not to miss a lineup of talented comedians including Tim Hoskins, Matt Trimble, Theresa Farlow, Rob Coleman, Paul Mutadejja, Will Collishaw, Maria Stafford and Rob Lane as MC.
Julia Protesaru, organiser of the event and fund-raiser for Headway says: “With such limited tickets available, I do hope we sell out. It’s a first for Headway as well as for myself, but I have enjoyed the journey so far. I have seen fantastic help from comedians, friends and the Bottles management and staff already. Hopefully we will be raising a significant amount for such an important cause.
Theresa Farlow, a comic whose brother suffered a brain injury after he fell during rock climbing when he was 34, will be travelling all the way from Manchester in order to show her support.
“Organisations that play a role in supporting and raising awareness of brain injury do such incredibly good work, so I am extremely happy to help Headway Worcestershire.”
Tickets cost £10, and include a glass of fizz on arrival. Proceeds from the entry will go to Headway Worcestershire.
