Rainbow Run will be truly colourful

Worcester Editorial 2nd Sep, 2015 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

THREE county hospices have teamed up to splash and blast fund-raisers in a shower of colour as part of charity Rainbow Run.

St Richard’s Hospice, Primrose Hospice and KEMP Hospice have come together for the first time to offer supporters across the city the chance to take part in the colourful fun run on Sunday (September 6) at Top Barn Activity Centre in Holt Heath.

Following the huge success of St Richard’s Hospice’s sell-out Rainbow Run in March – where more than 700 people were showered in an explosion of coloured powder – the three hospices are inviting residents to run, walk, skip or dance the 5km route for a second time this year.

Jodi Brandwood, community fund-raiser at St Richard’s Hospice, said: “Our first Rainbow Run quickly sold out so we wanted to offer another opportunity to join in the fun.

“People wanted to take part as a family and we are pleased to able to open this event for children aged eight and over.

“We are delighted to be working with Primrose and KEMP Hospices on a joint event and are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the most colourful celebration to end the summer.”

The Rainbow Run will start at 11am and is not timed.
