RAIL STRIKES- Worcester passengers set for week of disruption

Worcester Editorial 27th Jul, 2023   0

WORCESTER passengers are facing more strike disruption from Saturday (July 29) due to industrial action from members of the RMT union.

The strike means no trains will be running on the Birmingham New Street to Hereford line, which stops at Droitwich Spa, Worcester Foregate Street, Malvern Link and Great Malvern.

West Midlands Railway (WMR) will be running a reduced timetable on other routes between 7am and 7pm.

In addition, members of the ASLEF union will be staging an overtime ban between Monday, July 31 and Saturday, August 5.

During this time there could be alterations on several routes and services may be subject to short-notice cancellation.

A reduced service will operate on the Birmingham to Hereford route with rail replacement buses being used at certain times.
