Rail lines to Worcester now reopened after woman dies at University station

ALL services to Worcester have now reopened after a woman was found dead following reports someone was struck by a train at Birmingham University Railway Station this morning.

Police were called to the station at around 6am following reports someone had been struck by a train, and a woman was found dead at the scene.

British Transport Police said the death was being treated as non-suspicious.

Services were cancelled on the cross-city lines to Redditch and Bromsgrove as well as the Birmingham New Street to Hereford service, which stops via Droitwich Spa, Worcester Foregate Street, Malvern Link and Great Malvern.
