Prints of former Ronkswood church to help fund new building

Worcester Editorial 28th Jan, 2015 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

OBSERVER readers are being urged to help raise money for a new church in Ronkswood by buying a lasting memory of its predecessor.

Following the demolition of St Matthew & Holy Trinity Church last November, a number of unframed prints of the building have now gone on sale at Ronkswood Post Office.

All money raised will go towards the new structure and church funds.

Churchwarden Angie Hughes said: “The love that people have shown for our church which so sadly had to be demolished has been incredible.

“These prints have been taken from the original painting by renowned local artist David Birtwhistle and we hope that it might provide a lasting memento of the building to someone whose wedding or baptism took place in the church.”

The prints cost £5 each.
