A POPULAR sandwich shop chain has revealed plans to open a store in Worcester this autumn, creating 20 new jobs.

Pret A Manger, known for its fresh handmade food and organic teas and coffees, will be opening its first shop in Worcester on the city’s High Street.

The sandwich shop chain, which opened its first store in London 30 years ago, offers a wide variety of handmade sandwiches, salads, wraps, baguettes and hot food, including a popular range of veggie and vegan options.

Pret Operations Manager for the area, Anthony Bullen, said: “We are very excited to open in Worcester for the first time and to get to know our local community here.

“We’re currently on the look-out for enthusiastic, fun and hard-working team members to join Team Pret. Experience in sandwich making or steaming milk is not essential.”

Every Pret shop donates all its unsold food items to local homeless charities in the evenings. The new Worcester shop is on the look out for charities in the city to donate to.
