ONE OF the UK’s most accomplished poets is heading to Worcester to deliver a performance at The Hive.
Patience Agbabi – who won the Cholmondeley Award and was shortlisted for the ‘Ted Hughes Poetry Prize’ in 2015 – will be at the city’s leading library this Friday (January 29).
The former Poet Laureate of Canterbury has authored four books and her poetry has featured on radio and TV worldwide.
Dr Tricia Connell, senior lecturer in English at the University of Worcester said: “We’re delighted to welcome Patience back to the city.
“She is a wonderful, engaging poet who never fails to entertain, arouse and inspire her audience.”
The event takes place from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, where Patience will give a public performance of her new book and sign copies.
