Police release CCTV in connection with attempted robbery in City

CCTV images have been released of a man police wish to speak to in connection with a attempted robbery in Worcester.

Police would like to speak to the individual pictured on the right, as it is believed he may have important information about an incident that happened in Back Lane South at around 1.30pm, on Monday, April 24, where a taxi driver was threatened by two men with a knife.

The victim, a man in his 40’s, suffered a cut to his thumb and eyebrow that required hospital treatment.

The two suspects are believed to have searched the taxi before leaving the scene in the direction of Moor Street.

A 15-year-old boy from Luton has been charged with attempted robbery and has been remanded to appear at court.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 324s of April 24.
