Police launch CCTV appeal following Co-Op store theft and assault

CCTV images have been released of a man police believe may have vital information relating to an alleged theft and assault at a Worcester supermarket.

It’s believed the incident happened at the Co-Op store on Henwick Road at 5.24pm last Sunday (June 4).

A member of staff in their 50s suffered from minor injuries as a result of the incident, but they did not require treatment.

Police are now keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as they believe he has vital information which could help them with their investigation.




The man in the image has been described as aged between 25 and 35 years-old and has a large spider tattoo on his right elbow.

He was wearing a pair of beige shorts, Nike trainers, and black polo shirt.


Anyone with information is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 586s of June 4.
