Police investigating arson attacks on small cars in villages around Droitwich and Worcester

POLICE have confirmed they are investigating four car fires which happened in villages near Droitwich and Worcester.

Officers say the incidents, which happened between 1.30am and 3am on Friday morning, are all been treated as arson.

In each attack a window was smashed before an accelerant was poured in and then they were set alight.

In each attack the fire has not taken hold fully and the fire service were able to get to the vehicles and extinguish the blazes.




The first two happened between 1.30am and 1.50am and between 2am and 3am in Himbleton and the third was in Plough Road, Tibberton, between 2am and 3am.

The fourth was in Netherwood Lane, Crowle, at some point between 2am and 3am.


We reported on our website on Friday there had been seven fires, all in small cars, all in South Worcestershire villages between midnight and 4am.

The others were in Flyford Flavell, Naunton Beauchamp and Claines.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
