AN ELDERLY man was dragged from a bus stop and assaulted by three men who demanded money from him during an attack in Barbourne.

The 68-year-old was sitting at a bus stop close to Pedlars Bike Shop at about 2am on Sunday, September 14 when he was approached by the group.

One of the men then dragged him from the bus stop and punched him in the face.

West Mercia Police is re-appealing for witnesses to the incident. Three men who were seen in the area at the time of the attack have now been identified and are not being treated as suspects.

The men were identified through a CCTV image released by police.

Anyone else who was in the area at the time of the attack is urged to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 and quote the incident reference 374 of 14th September or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

  • An earlier version of this story which appeared together with a CCTV image suggested the men pictured were the attackers. This was wrong and we apologise for any offence caused.
