Police appeal for witnesses following Worcester robbery

WEST Mercia Police were called at approximately 3.45am this morning (Friday, December 18) to reports of a robbery at a supermarket on Windermere Drive, Worcester.

The supermarket was closed to the public at the time of the incident. Threats of violence were made to staff but no physical injuries were received.

The two suspects are believed to be men who were wearing balaclavas and dark coloured hooded tops, they were also carrying holdalls.

They made off on foot towards the Warndon Estate with a large amount of cash.




Investigations are still in the early stages but police are appealing for witnesses who may have any information to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 51s of 18 December.
