Pedestrian taken to hospital after being struck by car

A WOMAN is in serious condition in Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being hit by a car on The Tything.

The incident took place at about 10.15pm last night (Saturday) after officers received a report of a black Vauxhall Astra which hit a pedestrian on The Tything near the junction with Castle Street.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and officers now want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured it on dash cam.
