Pair taken to hospital after city nightclub attack

Worcester Editorial 7th Oct, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

TWO YOUNG men had to be taken to hospital following a vicious attack in a city centre nightclub.

The victims, both 20-year-old men from Worcester, were in the smoking area of Tramps Nightclub last Sunday (September 28) when they were approached by an Asian man who repeatedly asked them if they were okay.

Another three or four Asian men then approached the pair from behind and hit one of them in the side of the head with an unknown object which caused him to fall to the floor and briefly lose consciousness.

The other victim was then assaulted numerous times by the group before they ran out of the club. It happened between 3am and 3.25am and both were treated for minor injuries.

The man who first approached the two men has been described as about 5ft 4ins, slim build, black shaven hair, wearing a blue t-shirt with a red stripe across the shoulder and dark blue jeans.

All the other attackers were described as being of stocky build.

Anyone with further information on the offence can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
