Over 100 Easter eggs donated to youngsters at Worcester Hospital

Worcester Editorial 5th Apr, 2024   0

YOUNGSTERS at Worcester Royal Hospital’s children’s ward had something to smile about during the school holidays after over 100 Easter eggs were collected and donated by a city care home.

Latimer Court set up a donation station in their bistro area of the care home entrance to allow people to donate Easter eggs.

After around a month of collecting eggs, cafe home staff turned into Easter bunnies for the day and donated the chocolate eggs and bunnies to the Riverbank Children’s Ward.

Dan Taylor-Edwards, Activities Co-ordinator at Latimer Court Care Home, said: “Taking part in this challenge has been a huge amount of fun and everyone at the home has been behind us all the way, speaking to anyone and everyone to increase the numbers of chocolate eggs.

“It’s for such an important cause. I’m very glad to be able to do my bit to raise further awareness and do something nice for the children over the Easter season.”
