Officers investigating disappearance of 18-year-old Thomas Jones have found a body in the river at Worcester

OFFICERS investigating the disappearance of Worcester student Thomas Jones have recovered a body from the River Severn.

Thomas’ next of kin have been informed but as formal identification has not yet taken place, no further details can be released at this time.

Thomas was last seen during the early hours of last Wednesday, September 19, walking close to the River Severn in Worcester, where he had gone to start university.

A mass search was conducted by officers from West Mercia Police, specialist divers and family and friends of Thomas and a ‘Find Jonah’ Facebook group dedicated to finding the 18-year-old has accrued more than 22,000 followers in the past week.
