A WORCESTER nursery will be hosting a special open-morning in celebration of its 30th anniversary.
Believed to be ‘Worcester’s longest standing nursery’ by the staff, Hawthorn Cottage Nursery, on Blakefield Road in St John’s, will celebrate the milestone with an open-morning from 9am to 11.30am on Friday, April 1, when families will have the chance to meet the staff, have a tour and get involved in party-themed activities.
Visitors can take part in a raffle for the chance to win a £20 Toys R Us voucher, two tickets to a rugby match donated by Worcester Warriors, a family pass to the West Midland Safari Park, a Sainsbury’s hamper, and activity pass to the St John’s Sports Centre, a case of wine and many more prizes.
Proceeds will be donated to Worcester charity, New Hope.
Deputy manager, Naomi Stanfield, said: “We chose New Hope charity as it is a local charity that stands for a wonderful cause, in supporting families who have children with disabilities and complex health care needs and we are very happy to be supporting them in that and raise awareness of the work they do.”
Tickets cost £1 from the nursery. Winners will be contacted on Monday morning
