Nine RGS Worcester students are off to Oxbridge

NINE RGS Worcester students are Oxbridge bound.

Offers to study at the University of Oxford have been received by Ellen McGettigan, who will read Geography, Harry Muir to read Modern Languages, Hannah Agoston to study Medicine, Martha Colclough to study Theology and Isabelle Jones to read History.

Offers from the University of Cambridge have been awarded to Sasha Penlington, who will read History and Modern Languages, and Joe Kington, who will read Law.

In addition, two RGS Worcester alumni have also secured Oxbridge offers this year, having received the same specialist guidance and preparation from the school. One former pupil has received an offer to read Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, while another has been offered a place to read Classics at the University of Oxford.

Dr Thom Russell, head of Classics and Oxbridge Applications at RGS Worcester, said: “We are immensely proud of our students and the dedication they have shown throughout this process. These offers reflect their individual academic excellence and also a sixth form culture that values depth of thought, intellectual curiosity and careful preparation. We are particularly pleased to see such a wide range of disciplines represented.”
