ASPIRING nurses and healthcare workers are being invited to a hospital recruitment event this Saturday.
The free event, taking place on Saturday, May 21 in the Education Centre at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, will showcase the various employment opportunities available for registered nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, midwives and aspiring healthcare support workers.
Between 10am to 2pm, visitors can apply for roles across Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust’s three sites including Worcestershire Royal Hospital, the Alexandra and Kidderminster.
As well as information stands giving information and advice on opportunities within medicine, surgery, women’s and children’s services, theatres, outpatients and clinical support roles, there will be HR advisors available to give free one to one help and support on applying for vacancies.
Lisa Miruszenko, deputy chief nurse at the trust, said: “This event is for all registered nurses, midwives, operating department practitioners and current and aspiring healthcare support workers to come and see what fabulous job opportunities are available across our county’s hospitals.
“Our nurse bank provider NHS Professionals will also be attending for those interested in more flexible working.
“It builds on the successful recruitment campaigns we have recently held for roles in maternity and theatres, and we are looking forward to welcoming some great potential candidates.
“Whether you are working for another trust and looking for a change, thinking of coming back to the profession or wondering about embarking on a caring role within nursing, this is the event for you.”
Staff nurses can be interviewed on the day for a band 5 position, if they apply first online at NHS Jobs via www.jobs.nhs.uk/ searching for vacancy reference 365-WAHNT1519-3.
